I like to think of this Vegan Chocolate Shake as a vegan frosty. It’s not overwhelmingly sweet, it’s smooth and cold, and it might give you a brain freeze. All the things you want in a milkshake, right?
With about 300 calories in this shake, it will fill you up, but with REAL nutritious ingredients, not sugar. If you want to add more chocolate flavor without calories, I suggest using chocolate extract.
Making this healthy chocolate shake couldn’t be easier. You’ll need these ingredients + a blender to create this yummy treat!
- banana
- dates
- almond butter
- almond milk
- chia seeds
- cocoa powder
- almond or chocolate extract
- ice cubes
This Healthy Vegan Chocolate Shake is vegan and sugar-free. Made with simple, clean ingredients including almond butter, banana, chia and dates.
- 1 small banana
- 2 small pitted dates
- 1 Tbsp almond butter
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 2 tsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp almond or chocolate extract
- 12 ice cubes (I use the long narrow ones about 1.5 cups)
